Terms of service: the essentials in brief
A short summary of our terms of service – with a link to the full terms.
Updated 23 June 2026
When you order a service from us, our terms of service apply. They are written to be clear and fair – here are the essentials in brief. You'll find the full terms on the Terms of service page.
The short version
- Two parts. You pay a one-off amount to build the website, and an ongoing operations fee. See How pricing works.
- Annual billing. Operations are invoiced one year at a time, in advance. The first invoice covers setup plus the first year of operations.
- Automatic renewal. The operations agreement renews for a new year unless you cancel before renewal.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time. The service continues until the end of the period you've paid for, and there is no refund for the current period. See Change or cancel your agreement.
- You own what's yours. Your domain and the content you provide or have created belong to you.
- Right of withdrawal for consumers. If you're a private individual, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. If you ask us to start work immediately, the right of withdrawal may lapse as the service is delivered.
Does this apply to me?
The terms apply to all customers – both businesses and private individuals. If you're a consumer, your rights under consumer legislation apply in addition, and the terms do not limit them.
Where do I find the full terms?
The full terms of service are always available at /en/terms, and those are the ones that apply. This article is only a summary to make them easier to digest.
