Security and uptime
How we keep your website safe and available, and what you can do yourself to avoid problems.
Updated 23 June 2026
A website that's down or hacked costs you customers and trust. That's why security and uptime are core to our operations, not something you pay extra for.
How we keep the site safe
- HTTPS everywhere. All traffic to and from the site is encrypted. That protects both you and visitors, and gives the padlock in the browser that people expect.
- Firewall and bot protection. The network the site runs on filters out malicious traffic and automated attacks before they reach it.
- Few moving parts. We build sites "light", without heavy systems and piles of third-party plugins that are often the source of security holes. Less complexity means less that can go wrong.
- Ongoing updates. We keep the technical side updated as part of operations, so known weaknesses are closed.
Uptime
The site runs on a global network built to handle both traffic spikes and failures of individual machines. In practice that means very high availability – the site is up when your customers need it.
Should something unexpected happen, we're alerted and step in. You won't be the one who discovers the site is down.
What you can do yourself
The weakest link in security is almost always passwords and access:
- Use strong, unique passwords for email and any logins.
- Never share passwords over email or SMS. If we need access to something, we agree on a safe way.
- Be sceptical of unexpected emails asking you to "confirm" or "log in" via a link – it's almost always fraud (phishing).
What about personal data?
Security and privacy are related, but not the same. How we handle personal data – and what you need in place – is in Privacy and GDPR.
