Pages and structure on the website

How we think about pages, menus and structure – and how many pages you actually need.

Updated 23 June 2026

A good website isn't about having many pages, but about visitors quickly finding what they're looking for. Here we explain how we build the structure.

The most common pages

For most businesses, a few well-considered pages are enough:

  • Front page – the most important first: what you offer, who it's for, and what the next step is.
  • Services / products – what you deliver, ideally with a page per main service where that makes sense.
  • About us – the story, the people and why someone should trust you.
  • Contact – how people reach you, ideally with a map and a form.

Web Basis includes the front page plus three such pages. If you need more, you add them for NOK 900 per extra page (Web Standard and Pro include five).

How many pages do I need?

Fewer than you think. A focused page that clearly answers "what do you offer, and why you?" beats ten half-finished pages. We recommend starting simple and expanding when you see what visitors actually ask for.

The menu

The menu at the top of the site is the map visitors navigate by. We keep it short and clear – usually four to six items. Too many choices make it harder, not easier, to find your way.

The structure can change along the way

The structure isn't set in stone. If we – or you – see that something should be split up, merged or moved, we adjust it. The most important thing is that the site makes sense to those who visit it.
