How your customers book a time
Step by step through what customers experience on your booking page: choosing a service, a time, entering details and getting a confirmation.
Updated 22 July 2026
Here's the whole journey a customer goes through when they book an appointment with you. It usually takes under a minute, and it all happens on your own page booking.ibenta.no/yourname.
Step by step
- The customer opens your booking page. It shows your name, logo and colour, and a list of the services you offer.
- They pick a service. Each service shows how long it takes, optionally a price (for information only), and a short description if you've added one.
- They pick a date. The customer can choose from today and up to 90 days ahead.
- They see available times. Only the times you're actually free show up. The system accounts for your opening hours, days you're closed, how long the service takes, and slots that are already booked. If the day is full, the customer is told to try another date.
- They fill in contact details. Name and email are required. Phone and a message to you are optional.
- They confirm they're not a robot. A small security check (Turnstile) keeps junk bookings away.
- They submit the booking. They immediately get an on-screen confirmation and an email with the appointment.
Available times and time zone
The times shown are in your time zone, that is Norwegian time for Norwegian businesses. The customer only sees times that are free at the moment they book. If two people try to grab the same slot at the same time, only the first gets it. The second is told the time was just taken, and can pick another.
What the customer needs to do afterwards
Nothing. They don't need to create an account or remember a password. The email confirmation contains everything: the time, a calendar file they can drop straight into their calendar, and a link they can use if they need to cancel.
More about the emails and cancelling in Confirmations, reminders and cancellations. To change which services and times customers see, see Setting up and managing your booking page.
