Facebook and social media
How a Facebook page works together with your website, and what we help you set up.
Updated 23 June 2026
Social media and your website solve different jobs. The website is your home – the one you own and control. Social media is where you meet people and stay in touch. They work best together.
You own the website – social media you borrow
There's an important difference: a Facebook or Instagram page lives on a platform you don't control. The rules, the reach and the algorithm can change overnight. Your website you own completely. That's why we always recommend that social media drives people to the website, rather than replacing it.
What we help with
The Facebook page (NOK 1,990) add-on covers setting up a professional business page:
- Creating or tidying up the Facebook business page.
- Filling in information, logo, cover image and a link to the website.
- Connecting it with the website so they point to each other.
How to use it well
- Link to the website in posts and in the profile – that's where sales and contact happen.
- Share your blog articles on Facebook. That way the content works a double shift.
- Be consistent, not constant. It's better to post a little regularly than to disappear for months between times.
- Reply to messages and comments. Many people use Facebook to get in touch – make sure someone's keeping an eye out.
Which channels should I be on?
Fewer, done well, beats many done halfway. Choose where your customers actually are:
- Facebook – broad audience, strong for local businesses and older audiences.
- Instagram – visual, good for products, food, interiors, crafts.
- LinkedIn – if you sell to other businesses.
