How brand.ibenta.no works
What the brand test on brand.ibenta.no is, who it's for, and what you come away with.
Updated 22 July 2026
brand.ibenta.no is a free brand test for small businesses. You answer a few short questions about your business and get back which "personality", that is archetype, best fits your brand, along with practical advice and a live preview of what a website in that style could look like.
What is an archetype?
An archetype is a recognisable personality pattern. The model builds on twelve classic archetypes (the hero, the sage, the jester and nine more) that have long been used to describe brands. The point is simple: a business with a clear personality is easier to recognise and connect with than one that's a little anonymous.
If you want to dig deeper into each archetype and the thinking behind it, see The twelve archetypes and the method.
Who is the test for?
The test is made for small businesses that want a clearer direction for their brand. Maybe you have a logo and some colours, but no common thread. An archetype gives you a fixed point to build from: tone, colours and images get easier to choose once you know who the business is.
What you get out of it
After the test you get:
- A primary archetype that sets your promise, and a secondary one that supports it.
- A practical "recipe": voice, visual direction, what content to prioritise, and the pitfalls to steer clear of.
- A score breakdown of how your answers spread across all twelve.
- A live demo of a website in your style, so you see the direction, not just read about it.
Honest about what it is
This is not a scientific personality test, and it doesn't replace a full branding process. Fifteen questions catch a direction, not the whole truth about your business. Use the result as a starting point: if you recognise yourself, you have something to build on.
